Good to know
- Find out the lowest safe temperature for your reptile, and keep a battery thermometer to check it.
- Keep the room warm and wrap the outside of the enclosure, leaving vents clear.
- Never put a hot water bottle, heat pack or hand warmer inside the enclosure. Your reptile can’t move away and may be burnt.
- Don’t feed your reptile while it’s cold. Wait until it’s back to its normal temperature.
- Never use a camping stove, barbecue or outdoor heater indoors. Agree a backup plan with a vet who knows reptiles.
